Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICR)

Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICR)

Protect your premises, your people, and your business continuity. TMUK Group Ltd provides rigorous, NICEIC-approved fixed wire testing for commercial, industrial, and educational facilities across the United Kingdom.

What is an EICR (Fixed Wire Testing)?

An Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR), formerly known as Periodic Inspection and Testing, is an in-depth health check of your building’s hardwired electrical infrastructure. Over time, electrical installations deteriorate due to wear and tear, corrosion, excessive electrical loading, and environmental factors.

Just like a vehicle requires an MOT, your building’s electrical system requires statutory periodic testing to ensure it remains safe to operate. Our highly qualified engineers inspect consumer units, distribution boards, lighting circuits, sockets, and hidden wiring to identify hidden dangers before they result in catastrophic failure, electrical shock, or fire.

Our Rigorous EICR Testing Process

Our NICEIC-accredited engineers are trained to operate seamlessly within live commercial environments, ensuring minimal disruption to your daily operations. We offer out-of-hours, weekend, and holiday-period testing for critical facilities like schools and data centres.

1. Comprehensive Visual Inspection

We identify visually obvious defects, such as cracked sockets, signs of thermal damage (scorching), incorrect routing of cables, and outdated equipment that no longer meets current safety standards.

2. Dead & Live Testing

We utilise calibrated testing equipment to perform continuity, insulation resistance, and earth fault loop impedance tests. This reveals hidden degradation within the wiring itself that the naked eye cannot see.

3. Detailed Digital Reporting

You receive a comprehensive, digital EICR document outlining the condition of your installation. Any faults discovered are clearly graded using industry-standard observation codes.

Understanding EICR Observation Codes

If defects are found, they are categorised on your report to help you prioritise remedial works. An installation is deemed “Unsatisfactory” if any C1, C2, or FI codes are recorded.

  • 🔴 Code C1 (Danger Present): Immediate risk of injury or fire. Immediate remedial action is required.
  • 🟠 Code C2 (Potentially Dangerous): Urgent remedial action is required to remove a potential threat.
  • 🟡 Code C3 (Improvement Recommended): The installation does not comply with the latest regulations, but is not deemed unsafe.
  • 🔵 Code FI (Further Investigation): An anomaly requires deeper investigation to determine if a danger exists.

Should your installation be deemed unsatisfactory, TMUK Group Ltd provides a transparent, competitive quotation to carry out the necessary Remedial Works to bring your building back into compliance.

Transparent Commercial EICR Pricing

Our commercial EICR pricing operates on a sliding scale. The more circuits your site requires testing, the more cost-effective the per-circuit rate becomes.

Please note: All prices stated are subject to VAT at the current standard rate.

Disclaimer: Final pricing may be adjusted based on the specific location of your premises, travel time, and any necessary accommodation requirements for our engineering teams.

Number of Circuits Price Per Circuit (excl. VAT)
1 to 30 Circuits £350.00 (Minimum Site Rate)
31 to 100 Circuits £12.50 per circuit
101 to 250 Circuits £10.50 per circuit
251 to 500 Circuits £8.50 per circuit
501 to 999 Circuits £7.50 per circuit
1000+ Circuits £6.50 per circuit
