TMUK Group Ltd coordinated the safe isolation and removal of the legacy oil-filled transformer. We oversaw the installation of a new, highly efficient cast-resin dry-type transformer. Concurrently, the low-voltage main distribution panel was completely replaced with a modern switchboard, featuring upgraded MCCBs and digital metering capabilities.
Edgbaston Hospitality Smart Lighting
Project Overview
A premier hospitality venue in Edgbaston required an aesthetic and energy-efficient overhaul of their front-of-house and architectural lighting.
The Installation Process
We executed a complete LED retrofit, replacing energy-intensive halogen fittings with architectural LED equivalents. The entire lighting array was integrated into a central automated smart control system (DALI protocol), allowing management to program dynamic lighting scenes based on the time of day and specific event requirements.
Walsall Water Treatment Control Wiring
Project Overview
Working within the public health sector, our industrial electricians were deployed to a water treatment facility in Walsall to upgrade critical process instrumentation.
The Installation Process
The project involved precision sensor calibration and the installation of complex motor control wiring. We integrated fluid level and pressure sensors back to the main control room via screened control cables. We also established reliable electrical interfaces for the pneumatic actuators regulating the purification process.
Dudley Manufacturing Thermal Imaging
Project Overview
To satisfy stringent commercial insurance criteria and maintain statutory compliance, a major manufacturing facility in Dudley commissioned a comprehensive safety testing programme.
The Testing Process
Alongside a standard Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR), our engineers conducted a site-wide thermal imaging survey of all high-load distribution boards and motor control centres. This non-intrusive inspection identified several overloaded circuits generating excess heat, allowing the client to take preventative remedial action before a critical failure occurred.
Coventry Commercial Solar Integration
Project Overview
A forward-thinking commercial hub in Coventry sought to improve their sustainability footprint whilst ensuring resilient backup power for their operations.
The Installation Process
TMUK Group Ltd facilitated the AC-side electrical integration of a large rooftop solar PV array. The system was coupled with advanced commercial battery storage and an automatic transfer switch (ATS). This intelligent setup allows the building to utilise stored solar energy during grid outages seamlessly.
Birmingham Multi-Tenant Intercoms
Project Overview
A high-occupancy residential block in Birmingham required a modernised security and access solution to ensure tenant safety and streamline property management.
The Installation Process
We completely re-wired the building's communication infrastructure to support the power requirements of a modern, integrated video intercom system. Additionally, landlord areas and communal spaces were secured with a robust, networked intruder alarm system, providing reliable monitoring capabilities for the property management team.
Tipton Plant Relocation Wiring
Project Overview
During the consolidation of two manufacturing sites, TMUK Group Ltd was brought in to manage the electrical relocation of a major production line to a new facility in Tipton.
The Installation Process
The project demanded the safe disconnection, labelling, and meticulous removal of existing machinery wiring. At the new site, we installed fresh galvanised trunking, distributed new 3-phase power supplies, and executed the safe electrical recommissioning of the entire production line, ensuring minimal disruption to the client's manufacturing schedule.
Black Country Shopping Centre Chillers
Project Overview
A busy retail mall in the Black Country upgraded their environmental control systems, requiring significant M&E electrical support for their new rooftop HVAC units.
The Installation Process
We designed and installed high-capacity SWA power supplies from the main switchroom to the new rooftop chillers. The project also included the complex wiring of ductwork control panels and motorised fire dampers, ensuring the new HVAC system operated efficiently and complied with commercial fire containment regulations.
Dudley Leisure Centre Booster Pumps
Project Overview
A local authority leisure centre in Dudley experienced chronic issues with their water pressure and heating, necessitating an upgrade to their public health plant room.
The Installation Process
Our M&E electrical specialists installed dedicated circuits for high-capacity electric water heating solutions. Furthermore, we provided the power and control wiring for a new variable speed booster pump set, allowing the facility to maintain constant water pressure across all shower and pool facilities during peak usage hours.
Halesowen Industrial Asset Reporting
Project Overview
An expansive industrial complex in Halesowen required a long-term strategic review of their ageing electrical infrastructure to plan for future capital expenditure.
The Reporting Process
TMUK Group Ltd performed an exhaustive asset lifecycle management audit. We conducted a site-wide load capacity analysis using data loggers to determine peak demand on the main transformers. We generated a detailed obsolescence report, highlighting switchgear that was no longer supported by the manufacturer and mapping out a phased replacement strategy.
Birmingham Financial Sector Power Resiliency
Project Overview
Operating in the high-frequency trading sector, a financial firm in Birmingham required an ultra-low latency and highly resilient power infrastructure fit-out for their new trading floor.
The Installation Process
Our specialist engineers executed a robust installation featuring synchronised Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS) and automatic transfer switches (ATS) connected to the primary incoming feeds. We ensured complete isolation of the clean earth systems from standard building power, terminating all high-grade control wiring into secure distribution enclosures to eliminate interference.
